Keep 'Em Lit Through 2026!
YOUR GIFT SUPPORTS THE BAY LIGHTS
Designed, permitted and funded as a temporary art installation with a two-year life, the silent, sparkling nighttime presence of The Bay Lights has become a necessary and inspiring Bay Area presence, captivating locals and visitors alike. Due to its enormous popularity and a loud call from residents, elected officials, business leaders and the cultural community to keep The Bay Lights shining beyond 2015, we’ve a launched a campaign to “Keep Em Lit Through 2026.”
In the spirit of innovation, creativity and collaboration, Illuminate the Arts’ annual support model enables to us to deliver deeper relationships and more lasting value within your community for leadership, employees and partners.
$12M WILL KEEP ‘EM LIT THROUGH 2026
Extending the presentation of The Bay Lights will only be possible with the same generous community financial support that created the project in the first place. The projected cost to de-install The Bay Lights for bridge maintenance in 2015, then reinstall and maintain the iconic light sculpture through 2026 is $12 million dollars—and donations are already starting to come in!
Please join us in this monumental opportunity to create more magic in the years ahead.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
Donate today. The western span of the Bay Bridge will go dark forever next year if additional funds are not raised now. The Bay Lights creation by artist Leo Villareal so perfectly captures the aesthetic mood and physical beauty of our truly unique Bay Area, that people already have a hard time imagining what it would be like without it. Your contribution will help to ensure that this brilliant landmark remains a fixture of our remarkable skyline.
